The ultimate eczema product guide

No more itchies!

If you are reading this, I am guessing you have eczema or at least have dry and sensitive skin. Battling with eczema has been an issue for me since early childhood. My mom tried every prescription available, but they always failed and seemed to  make things worse. Eventually, I seemed to “outgrow” my severe eczema, only having a rare flareup from trying a new and not-so-natrual skincare product. This all changed once I entered college though. After a series of health issues, my severe eczema seemed to come back. With extensive research, allergy testing, diet changes, supplements, and natural products that I have discovered, my eczema is kept to a bare minimum! In fact, I went an entire five months completely eczema free this winter, which is the longest I have gone without a flareup in two years! For this post, I am just going to cover my favorite skin care products, that really help calm, cool, and heal my skin!

The ultimate skin conditioning treatment: Eczema Honey Co. Original Skin Soothing Cream

Taking this magical little tub out of the freezer and applying it on my skin has been a little ritual of mine when I get irritated. Honey helps with open cuts since it has antibacterial properties. It is also super soothing and great to use for a moisturizing mask anywhere on the body.

Have a luxurious shower: Eczema Honey Co. Shower Bombs.

When I found out about EHC’s new product I freaked! Because for one, bath bombs and eczema are a no-go typically. With all of the fragrance, you are asking for a bad time. Additionally, while being in college, I can never soak and have a nice bath. So when coming across these, I knew I needed to give them a try. They smell like lavender and immediately fizz up when they hit the water! I found the shower bombs to just be super soothing to my skin, and the scent is a plus at night to relax before bed.

Deodorant-friendly eczema: EHC’s deodorant

I was very surprised when applying this to my underarms–I typically feel burning sensations almost immediate when applying most deodorants to my underarms, but this one feels great! I have struggled with eczema flare ups from deodorants, so this one is definitely a keeper. The only issue is I personally am not a huge fan of the scent. I am picky when it comes to that–but the way it makes my skin feel makes it still a winner in my book.

Another great eczema friendly deodorant: Kopari

For those of you who may have issues with scents, or just don’t like em’ I recommend the fragrance free one! This deodorant also doesn’t aggravate my armpits and keeps me feeling fresh without relying on a scent to mask the smell.

For on the go itchies: EHC Witch hazel and aloe spray

This stuff rocks! If I could choose one item to stash in my bag, it would be this. This little spray bottle is perfect to spray on your skin when you are itchy and in a rush. It also smells like lavender, which I absolutely love!

A water magnet: The Ordinary’s Hyaluronic Acid

This stuff is pure magic. After getting out of the shower at night, I ALWAYS put a few drops of this on my face at night. This serum allows you to absorb and hold 1000x more moisture in your skin than just moisturizer alone. So, this always goes on first! It will lock everything in.

My Face Products: ARBONNE Calm Collection

I know I can always trust the ingredients in Arbonne’s products. Their calm collection has worked WONDERS on my face. I use the entire line. The eye gel really made a difference with my eyelid/under eye eczema. And the serum and lotion are a great hydrating duo. PS, cleansers can be really really drying, so if you have dry and sensitive skin, it is super important that you find a gentle one like Arbonne’s. The whole line can be found here! And if you are interested in a discount on Arbonne, feel free to email me!

PS. I just got interviewed on Eczema Honey Co’s Blog!! It was so much fun sharing my eczema story and tips. If you have any questions or fav products you’d like to share, feel free to comment below!
