For those of you who are looking for a northern California adventure, I’ve found a few new places to add to the list. I started my travels on Halloween, and the full moon did not disappoint! Here are my three recommendations if you are in this area:

  1. TRAVERTINE HOTSPRINGS

Travertine Hot springs is one of the most magical locations that I have been to in California so far. This beautiful spot is just outside of Bridgeport California. There are plenty of walking trails and several hot springs on site. Please be respectful of the springs! Pack up your trash when you leave.

2. LEAVITT MEADOWS

The entire drive to Leavitt Meadows is beautiful. There are lots of good hikes and a great waterfall to spot at the top! You can park and picnic super close to the falls. It is a great overlook.

P.S. I brought my Gootium shoulder bag with me on this trip and I’m obsessed! It is the perfect size to take on hikes and other explorations. It’s become my new favorite accessory to take along with me.

3. TOPAZ LAKE

Visting this lake around fall was absolutely magical. There was so much golden foliage–it helped make a perfect sunset later in the day.
