3 resolutions you should add to your NY list!

January 14, 2019shelbssays@gmail.com

So we have successfully made it two weeks into the new year, and I hope if you have made goals for this year, they are still fresh in your mind! I know how it goes a lot of the time–it gets crazy hectic with school, work, and unexpected events… It is HARD to stay on track with what you want to get accomplished when life gets going! Today, I just wanted to suggest a couple of resolutions on my list, that you may also want to include on your own!

  1. Be Your Own Best Friend. I forget where I heard this, but it makes so much sense. Think about how hard we are on ourselves sometimes… If you were to say some of the harsh things that you tell yourself to someone else, it may be considered verbal abuse or at least very offensive and hurtful. And that is why one of my goals this year to to be my own best friend. I am going to try to focus on treating myself how I would to some of my best friends.
  2. Do things with intention. Think about how many times we aimlessly check our phone, press the snooze button, or constantly cave into junk food over fueling foods. I think lack of intention is a huge thing that everyone can work on. If you put intention into living your life, you give yourself direction to where you are wanting to go!
  3. Focus on gratitude. It can be hard to keep feeling like you need more and aren’t exactly where you want to be. But the first step to getting where you want to be is gratitude. If you have gratitude, you are focusing on self- love. The happier you are with where you are and what you have, the more effortless it will be to achieve what you want to see in your reality.
Regardless of how big your goals are in life, I think these are the big three that everyone should focus on to improve  life and reach big dreams!

Do you have any important resolutions this year that belong on this list? If so, share them below!
