Weekend Road Trip Essentials
Spring has me itching to go on all of the fun weekend road trips! With all of the travel I have been doing lately, there is one thing I know I am getting good at, and its packing! If you are looking for some inspo for a weekend spring road trip, look no further. Let’s get into it:
PACKING CUBES: Do yourself a favor and change your life when it comes to staying organized while traveling. I got these packing cubes from REI two years ago and use them on every single trip. You can fit so much in them (as you can see from this TikTok) and they come in a variety of sizes! I have one packing cube to store all of my clothes in, one for my toiletries, and one for underwear and swimsuits. That pretty much covers all of the basics! in three little bags! I normally just store theme in my duffel bag.
CLOTHING: I try to pack as minimal as possible by bringing items that can be mix and matched and worn for a variety of activities. One of my favorite brands is Toad&Co. They have clothing perfect for every occasion, and great quality, sustainable materials. It’s defiitely important to think about having solid layers in spring. I brought the HalfDays Nellie Packable Puffer Jacket. Their new spring colors are to die for! It’s always smart to have extra layers like a puffy for when it gets chilly, and the pest part is that it packs into a pillow! Perfect for roadtrips and camping!! (featured in TikTok)
SKIN CARE: With all of the sunshine I put my face in, sunscreen is a non-negotiable. I love wearing Kinfield’s SunGlow sunscreen. It is slightly tinted and has a shimmer. I use this instead of face makeup and love the look! If you aren’t about shimmer, definitely check out their Daily Dew Moisturizer. This is what I choose for day that I am planning to workout and sweat a lot since it is water resistant!
A GOOD BLANKET: Whether you plan to car camp, or just want to stay cozy for the ride, a RUMPL blanket is a game changer! I keep one of these stashed in the truck as all times!
